Who We Are
Hello! We’re the Texas Roses, Carol and Buddy to be precise. We both grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have lived here nearly all of our lives. We’re convinced there’s no place like Texas!
After Buddy’s success starting his own business, we thought “why don’t we build another business?” So when Carol retired from a long career in event and travel planning, the dream of having our own wedding chapel began.
In 2018 we purchased this lovely property in small town Wise County that today is Boyd Avenue Chapel. Now we have a beautiful place where Carol can help brides and grooms experience the most memorable day of their lives.
We have three daughters in our blended family and we’re the very proud grandparents of six absolutely amazing grands! We are a highly blessed family. God has been so, so good to all of us. We pray you sense His loving goodness when you come out to see Boyd Avenue Chapel.

Your Small Town Experience
With its rural small Texas town location, this wedding chapel offers couples a sacred and elegant setting for your wedding ceremony.
Boyd Avenue Chapel is only 45 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and historic downtown Grapevine if you want to enjoy Texas’ bigger cities. Only 20 minute drive from Texas Motor Speedway and the Alliance Corridor, where you’ll find a wide selection of hotels. Your out of town guests will have many options for entertainment in close proximity. DFW airport is a straight shot to the venue on Highway 114, a 45 minute drive.
For those looking to enjoy Texas’ lakes and wildlife, both Lake Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain Lake are within a 25 minute drive. Both locations offer a great variety of short term lodging options.
We have local wineries, race tracks …. plus rodeos and horseback riding close by.
Boyd is a growing rural community in the crossroads to many small northwest metroplex towns. We support local small businesses. You’ll find great food and services convenient to the venue.
